The BDG working group «Bentonite-bonded moulding materials» met on Wednesday, 06 March 2024. The meeting took place at Heinrich Wagner Sinto in Bad Laasphe and was attended by an exceptionally large group of participants. The «foundrymen’s meeting» on the evening before the conference also met great response.
In addition to field reports from member companies and the TU Freiberg on the subject of reclaiming foundry sands, this topic was discussed in depth among the participants. At the end of the meeting, the company HWS was presented during a factory tour. This included a tour of the pouring machines, tight-flask and flaskless moulding machines in the final assembly stage as well as the test facility for sand reclamation.
