| SEIATSU Components |
| |
| Automatic pattern change stations enable complete pattern sets
to be exchanged within the cycle time. A lifting table lifts the
previously used pattern set off the turntable, or lowers the new
set into position. Driven rollerways take the pattern sets to and
from the station. |
|
|
|
| The pattern set consists of the
pattern plate carrier and exchangeable pattern plates. The pattern
plate carriers are supplied with a ring of apertures to allow the
compacting air to escape. If required, the pattern plate carriers
can be equipped with heating elements.
Each pattern plate has a code number under which all the parameters
for the mould manufacture are stored.

Dosing Device |
| The dosing device is pivot mounted and supported on a load
cell, which stops the sand feed as soon as a pre-programmed weight has
reached to the sand container. The sand is released via pivoted flaps on
the outlet of the sand container, so that the sand is evenly distributed
in the mould. Underneath the pivoted flaps, a spray device is provided
to apply the separating medium to the pattern.
The sand dosing device can be equipped additionally with a fine sand
slinger.

The SEIATSU Valve |
| The SEIATSU valve is a hydraulically controlled plate valve, which
opens up a of large cross section aperture in a fraction of a second,
and it also generates a powerful air current for compacting the moulding
sand. The time of opening and the opening stroke of the valve plates
can be individually adjusted in order to achieve optimum conditions
for the compacting of the mould. |

The Hydraulics |
| The provision of a central hydraulic station is fundamental for
hws moulding lines. Preferably these hydraulic stations are accommodated
in a separate basement. This allows all the oil in the hydraulic
circuits to be constantly monitored, cleaned and held at the operating
temperature.
The hydraulic valves are mounted on distribution blocks in such
a way that they can be dismantled without disconnecting piping.
The operation sequences are in the main controlled by means of
proportional and servo valves from Rexroth. Hydraulic cylinders
are made in-house.

The Electronics |
| hws Moulding lines of the new generation are equipped with
decentralised electronic controls. These consist of a switchgear
cabinet with the central automation unit and a series of manually
controlled panels, conveniently arranged in the vicinity of the equipment
to which they belong. The manual control panels are of the Siemens
Coros operator panel type, and facilitate both monitoring and correction
of the line functions. The connection between Automation equipment
and the Operator Panel is either in the form of a 2-wire BUS cable
or via light waves. |
